Badam Kheer: How to Make a Badam Kheer at Home


Badam kheer is a traditional Indian sweet recipe made especially during vestige seasons or celebrations and occasions. The recipe is similar to the traditional rice-based Kheer as the rice is replaced with almond paste which is such a delicious recipe.

Ingredients of Badam Kheer:

1: First soak 3/4 cup of almonds in warm water for 30 minutes.

2: Peel the skin of the almonds.

3: transfer to a blender and blend to a smooth paste adding milk as required.

4: Now eat one teaspoon of oil in a large Pan 5 cashews nuts and two tablespoons of raisins.

5: Roast the nuts until they turn golden brown and keep them aside.

6: In the same pan add 5 cups milk and add 1/2 teaspoon saffron.

7: Stir well and bring the milk to a boil. Boil and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the milk thickens.

9: Now add prepared almond paste and stir well.

10: Boil for 5 minutes or until the milk thickens and becomes creamy.

11: Meanwhile prepare khoya by heating one teaspoon of butter and adding 1/4 Cup milk to it.

12: Stir well and ensure that the butter and milk are well combined.

13: Now add 1/2 cup of full cream milk powder.

14: Keep it on a low flame and keep stirring continuously.

15: the mixture starts thickening after 5 minutes the mixture separates from the pan.

16: Keep mixing until a lump forms. Finally instant khoya is ready let it cool completely.

17: Now break the khoya into pieces. Alternatively, use 1/2 Cup store pout khoya or mawa.

18: Add chopped khoya to milk and mix well.

19: Boil for 3 minutes or until the texture becomes creamy.

20: Then add 1/4 cup sugar stir and boil for 2 minutes.

21: Add 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder and fried nuts and mix well.

22: finally enjoy almond Kheer garnished with some pistachios.
